Abstract:
The objectives of this research are to (1) evaluate the impact of strategic leadership on achieving organizational goals, (2) identify the key characteristics of effective strategic leaders, and (3) assess the influence of strategic leadership on organizational culture and performance. A survey research design was used to gather data from a large sample, providing comprehensive insights. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 360 respondents was selected to ensure representativeness. The study was conducted in the oil and gas sector in Lagos, Nigeria, known for its complex leadership challenges. The survey instrument achieved a reliability coefficient score of 0.90. The findings indicate that strategic leadership plays a crucial role in achieving organizational goals by fostering a strong organizational culture, promoting innovation, and ensuring effective decision-making. Recommendations include investing in leadership development programs and encouraging strategic thinking at all organizational levels to enhance goal achievement.
